It was necessary to create a calendar A3 format on the theme: "Decorative and applied art of Ukraine." The calendar should have displayed the maximum traditional features.
The calendar is divided thematically by the seasons.
As well as images were selected individually depending on the majority of the holidays in a particular month.
Each polygon was painted separately and the blending mode was also manually selected.
Thus, the autumn months are preferably made in red and yellow tones, which symbolizes the arrival of autumn and the yellowness of the foliage.
The winter months are decorated in colder colors, except of January (the festive month).
Spring has been made in more green theme, because everything starts to blossom.
The polygonal grid depicted in each month and the drawing of the month numbering were compiled separately and individually for each depending on the composition. Thus, I wanted to convey the uniqueness of each month, season and events in this period.
The calendar contains the maximum number of images that reflect the arts and crafts that were used previously in Ukrainian houses. There is a pottery, and traditional Ukrainian patterns on the towels and Easter eggs. Image of Orthodox churches, national dishes, toys, fragments of old houses.
